Jazz in July feat. Pharez Whitted
Chicago trumpeter and composer Pharez Whitted brings his jazz vision and unique voice on the horn back to Indiana University. Having studied under Distinguised Professor of Music David Baker, Whitted has since become a celebrated artist. This is Pharez's first Jazz in July performance, and it's an honor to include him in this annual event.
All concerts are free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so everyone is encouraged to come early. Concerts are held outside on the museum's front plaza and, in the event of rain, will be moved inside the IU Art Museum. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Donations are appreciated.
Cool off in the Special Exhibitions Gallery on the first floor of the museum from 5:30–8:30 p.m. each Jazz in July evening.
