Visiting Faculty Exhibition & The School of Fine Arts Abroad: Overseas Study

The Grunwald Gallery of Art is pleased to announce the upcoming Visiting Faculty Exhibition and The School of Fine Arts Abroad: Overseas Study Exhibition. These exhibitions will open to the public on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. A Reception will be held on Friday, December 6, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Grunwald Gallery of Art.


The Grunwald Gallery is pleased to present the Visiting Faculty Exhibition, a show of works by artists who are visiting faculty in the School of Fine Arts. The artists include: Mike Calway-Fagen (Sculpture), Carissa Carman (Textiles), Brandon Gunn (Printmaking), Danielle Head (Photography), Steven Hixson (Graphic Design), Ellie Honl (Printmaking), Gabe Phipps (Painting), Tim Scicluna (3-D Fundamentals), Keith Spencer (N110/Fundamental Studio), Kevin Steele (Graphic Design), Grant Whipple (Fundamentals/Painting), Peter Williams (Digital Art), and Jamie Yount (Graphic Design). They engage in studio practices in a variety of media including textiles, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, digital art, photography, and painting.


Each year the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts and the Indiana University Office of Overseas Study partner to offer summer programs in Europe and Asia to students. The School of Fine Arts Abroad: Overseas Study Exhibition will feature artwork produced by participating students during three study abroad programs taught by members of the IU Fine Arts faculty. This exhibit includes the work of Caleb Weintraub, who taught painting in Florence, Italy; Ed Bernstein, who taught printmaking and bookmaking in Venice, Italy; and James Nakagawa, who taught photography in Osaka, Japan.
