Emilio Sanchez: Recent Acquisitions

In 2011 the Indiana University Art Museum received a gift of almost two hundred paintings, drawings, and prints from the estate of Emilio Sanchez, a New York City based artist of Cuban birth. This installation highlights a small selection from this collection, including three large paintings and several lithographs.

 

Manuel Álvarez Bravo’s Latin Visions

This installation features six images that span the career of the Mexican surrealist photographer Manuel Alvarez Bravo.

 

Georges Braque: Cubism and Beyond

This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Georges Braque, one of the fathers of modern art. This installation features several of his early Cubist prints, as well as some later works that reflect his interest in classical themes.
