Who Are Asian Pacific Americans? Luncheon Talk Series presents “Layers of Identity through Urban Dance”

Dance has always been a means of self-expression: Distinct styles are often being associated with different groups of people. Asian Americans are exploring the urban dance scene – typically associated with African Americans and Latinos - as a way to express themselves, relieve stress, and meet new people. Is this just the result of social media and globalization? Or could this small act of cultural melding lead to more tolerance and dialogue in the future? Share your thoughts over FREE lunch. Co-hosted by IU graduate students, Cara Maffini and Derek DiMatteo.
