IU Cinema presents: Black Gold (2008) 78 min.

As westerners revel in designer lattes and cappuccinos, impoverished Ethiopian coffee growers suffer the bitter taste of injustice. In this eye-opening expose of the multi-billion dollar industry, Black Gold traces one man’s fight for a fair price. The screening is free, but ticketed, and sponsored by Enactus, Fair Trade Bloomington, Themester, Department of Anthropology, Department of Labor Studies, IU Office of Sustainability, Bloomingfoods and IU Cinema.
