29th Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning streaming

The Center for Distance Education will be live-streaming the Virtual 29th Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning from Madison, WI. on Thursday, Aug 8th & Friday, Aug 9th in Northside 245 (the UCET Peterson Classroom).

Session times: Thursday, Aug 8th from 9am – 4:45pm ; Friday, Aug 9th from 9am – 3:15pm

The virtual conference includes a limited number of live sessions including:

  • Two Keynote Speakers (Thursday & Friday)
    • THURSDAY, 9-10:30am: Disruptive innovation via open educational resources, Dr. Richard Baraniuk, Rice University

    • FRIDAY, 2-3:15pm: Envisioning a competency-based future, Dr. Sally Johnstone, Western Governors University
  • Two Conference Forums (Thursday)
    • 11:30-1:15pm: Open Educational Resources (OERs): Potential and pitfalls

    • 3-4:45pm: Competency-based assessment: How and why to get started

  • Information Sessions from the Management & Administration Track (Friday)
