NY Times Workshop and Lunch: July 30 11:00am - 1pm

Michael Mooney from the New York Times education team will conduct a faculty workshop on teaching strategies to integrate The New York Times into your course. The objective is to foster students’ global awareness, promote their critical thinking, and engage them in active learning.
The New York Times Newspaper Readership Program provides copies of The Times in bulk at campus locations, such as residence halls, student centers, and academic buildings. Members of the IU South Bend community can pick up the copies in the main hallway of Wiekamp Hall. There are also a limited number of complimentary digital subscriptions available for campus use.
The University Center for Excellence in Teaching (UCET) is pleased to offer this professional development opportunity on Tuesday, July 30th from 11:30 - 1:00pm. Please join us in the UCET classroom, Northside 245.
