Collaboration Technologies Workshop for Your Classroom
Are you interested in finding easy ways to meet virtually with colleagues around the state? Would you like to learn about new ways for your students to meet in groups outside of class or in an online class? UCET is hosting a hands-on workshop by Randy Newbrough on June 25 that will give you many options!
Collaboration Technologies, a unit within the Learning Technologies division of UITS, provides consulting, training, and support for collaborative technologies that are used for teaching and learning in both the face-to-face classroom as well as the online environment. These technologies are also available to support staff and administration in their daily work activities.
This session will provide an overview of these technologies such as: video conferencing, video streaming, lecture capture, and web conferencing that are available to faculty, students, and staff and supported by Collaboration Technologies. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with some of these technologies through several stations that will be set up.
This session is open to faculty and staff who are interested in how they might incorporate some of these technologies into their courses or work environment.
There will be two times available for the workshop on Tuesday, June 25. The first session is from 10:00-11:30am. The second session is from 2:00- 3:30pm. The workshop will take place at the University Center for Excellence Teaching (UCET) located in Northside Hall, Room 245.
