Please join us this Thursday for the second Christopher Peebles Memorial Lecture. President Michael McRobbie will introduce guest speaker, Dr. Paul Messina, director of science at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility.

Dr. Messina will speak as part of the pre-dedication activities for Big Red II, the world's fastest university-owned supercomputer. His talk – "Scientific computing: Will the lessons learned apply to the future?" – will examine what enabled advances in scientific computing, and how we can apply those lessons to coming changes.
