Modern Selections from the Henry Radford Hope Collection

Modern Selections from the Henry Radford Hope Collection

September 11‒December 23, 2012

Gallery of the Art of the Western World, Doris Steinmetz Kellett Endowed Gallery of Twentieth-Century Art, first floor

Featuring modern paintings and sculptures collected by the IU Art Museum’s founding director, Henry Radford Hope, this installation is presented in conjunction with this fall’s special exhibition Pioneers and Exiles: German Expressionism at the IU Art Museum (opening October 6). It draws attention to Hope’s role in collecting and exhibiting modern art at IU in the 1940s and 1950s.
