The Legal Side of Safety: A panel Discussion on Safety Management and the Law

We live and work in a litigious society. Safety Professionals must know the many legal pitfalls when dealing with employee injuries, outside contractors, OSHA, and third parties looking to get some of your company’s mondy.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about best (and sometimes, worst) industry practices that companies might use when involved in the Legal Side of Safety Management, from an attorney’s viewpoint and a safety professional and expert witness.

Greg Dale is a law partner with Faegre, Bake, Daniels and an IU graduate. He has counseled and defended business clients (including Fortune 300 companies). He is editor-in-chief (from the management side) of the Occupational Safety and Health Law treatise. He has co-authored a detailed handbook entitled “ What Every Indiana Employer Needs to Know About Occupation Safety and Health Law.”

Anthony Pantaleoni, with a focus on health and safety, Dr. Pantaleoni has distinguished himself in the corporate sector as an expert in environmental safety. Dr. Pantaleoni earned a Master’s in Public Health degree with honors and a PhD in Health and Safety from the former IU School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

This seminar is a must for all students thinking about a career in Safety Management and Safety Professionals looking to hone their management tools.
