Faculty Session regarding Open Access Policy

Colleagues, In partnership with the School of Education Library and our new librarian Julie Marie Frye, I will be hosting four open School of Education faculty sessions about the Open Access policy that the Bloomington Faculty Council unanimously adopted this year, and the new tools that will be available in the January DMAI (formerly the FAR) to opt in/opt out of placing your publications into the IU open access repository. In particular, the policy states that if you do not opt out for each publication, your publications will be placed in open access at IU. Because of the implications for the DMAI 2017, which is due January 15, 2018, we will schedule the gatherings during the first and second week of December. Our Scholarly Communications Librarian will address the Open Access interface to the DMAI and implications of opting in or out under this policy. Below is the schedule of all four of the sessions, as well as placing them on the SoE Events Calendar online, and welcome your participation in any one of them most convenient for you.
