Dr. Peterson is an associate professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2005 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Kinsey institute from 2005-2007. She is the founding director of the Sexual Assault Research and Education Program at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Her research interests are in the areas of sexual aggression, risky sexual behavior, and the relationships between sexual health and psychological health.
