Success Beyond the Classroom Workshop

Employers want to know what a great teacher you ARE, not what a great student you were. In few other professions do you go from being a student to a position of leadership overnight. As a future teacher, you will be responsible for not just your classroom, but in working with their parents, while collaborating with your peers (some of whom may be older than your own parents!) and they’re all going to be looking to you for guidance. It can definitely be intimidating. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Be the best professional you can be and master the Three C’s: Communication, collaboration and conflict management. Angela Perry from the Kelley School of Business has her Masters in education, comes from an advising background and helped start their COMPASS curriculum. She knows a thing or two about professional communication and can help you master those C’s with confidence! Join us on Friday, December 8th at 2:30pm at the Indiana Memorial Union Maple Room. RSVP encouraged via Career Connections Online. (https://cas.iu.edu/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fiuse-csm.symplicity.com%2Fsso%2Fstudents%2Flogin)
