Brand You: Success Beyond the Classroom Workshop
Employers want to know what a great teacher you ARE, not what a great student you were. In few other professions do you go from being a student to a position of leadership overnight. As a future teacher, you will be responsible for not just your classroom, but in working with their parents, while collaborating with your peers (some of whom may be older than your own parents!) and they’re all going to be looking to you for guidance. It can definitely be intimidating. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Be the best professional you can be. Wes Erwin from the Kelley School of Business comes from a career services background and helps run their COMPASS curriculum. He knows a thing or two about professional communication and can help you master it with confidence!
In this workshop, you will practice how to talk about yourself, how to sell yourself to an employer, and work on networking and interviewing strategies.
Join us on Wednesday, October 25th at 7pm at the Indiana Memorial Union Persimmon Room.
