“Opportunities and Challenges to the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences at the National Science Foundation”

Fay’s talk will discuss opportunities at NSF for the social, behavioral, and economic (SBE) sciences in terms of the NSF’s core research disciplines and some of their exciting cross-directorate priorities and initiatives that involve the SBE sciences. She also will discuss the challenges the SBE sciences face at NSF (for example, Congressional concerns and issues of robust and reliable science) and how the SBE Directorate is attempting to address those challenges. She welcomes questions, comments, and suggestions.
