Positive Link will offer FREE HIV/AIDS testing at the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) Student Support Services Office on the Indiana University Bloomington campus, 705 E. 7th St. (across from Dunn Meadow) every Thursday, 11am-2pm.
Positive Link, a program of Indiana University Health, is happy to continue offering free HIV testing and Hepatitis C testing for 2011. Each year we try to provide flexible testing hours to assist individuals who would like services. For 2011, we will be offering our free walk-in testing hours Mondays 2pm-6pm at our 333 E. Miller Dr. location and (There will no longer be walk-in testing hours at our office on Fridays for 2011). We will still offer services at Futures family planning clinic located at 338 South Walnut Street Bloomington, IN 47401 by appointment only every 3rd Tuesday of each month. Appointments at Futures can be scheduled by calling the clinic at 812-349-7343.
For individuals who have schedule conflicts with the above testing hours we are always open to schedule testing appointments at our Miller Drive location. This can be done by calling and leaving a message on our testing line at 812-353-3169 and our staff will contact individuals as soon as possible. Please feel free to forward this information as well.
Based on the results of a brief risk assessment, Positive Link may be able to test for 2 things in addition to HIV – Syphilis or Hepatitis C. These tests consist of a blood draw and take 1 to 2 weeks for results to come in. At that time, we call to give the results.
