Description: Bring your lunch to this presentation that will focus on the science of the famous HeLa cells as discussed in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. The presentation will give the audience members enough scientific information to understand why these cells are so important in biological and medical research. Panel participants include Professors Beth Rueschhoff, Pamela Connerly, and David Taylor of the IU Southeast Biology faculty. This is a Common Experience event.
