Dr. Marek Kucia is associate professor at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and director of Jagiellonian's Institute of Sociology as well as a ‘Jean Monnet' lecturer at the Jagiellonian University Centre for European Studies. Currently, Dr. Kucia is a visiting scholar in the IU Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism. His current research interests are: European society, the changing perceptions of Auschwitz and antisemitism in Poland, and the identity of Central Europe. Dr. Kucia will be presenting as part of the SWSEEL summer lecture series.
