2ND ANNUAL MIDWESTERN GRADUATE LIBERAL STUDIES CONFERENCE
The Graduate Liberal Studies programs of Indiana University invite you to participate in the second annual Midwestern Graduate Liberal Studies Conference.
The theme of this year’s conference is Love of Learning as a Survival Skill. Today’s successful workers need to be innovative, creative, and broad-minded thinkers who are capable of flexibility of mind, confidence in their abilities, innovative methods, and the ability to approach issues from multiple perspectives with creativity. The world changes quickly and most people make many career changes during their working lives. As a result, love of learning may serve as a survival skill in a world of constant change. We invite papers and presentations that not only lay out specific arguments and findings, but also explain how reflect the possible adaptive function of a love of learning. Abstracts for all presentations should describe the project itself and also comment on the way the presentation will address the conference theme.
The conference is designed to allow both formal and informal interactions among students and faculty from graduate liberal studies program in the Midwest.
