Peter Tavlin earned his MBA at the IU Kelley School of Business in Finance. He has significant experience in the corporate sector working in tandem with legal counsel. For the past 15 years he has worked at Bombardier Aerospace where he currently serves as the Director or Aircraft Securitization. Peter is in-residence at the law school on Feb 27th to discuss his career and how students considering career opportunities in the business sector can utilize their law degree.

Highly experienced corporate finance professional with accomplishments in coaching and developing talent; project management; securitization; leasing; mortgage financing; identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial, financial and legal risks and performing due diligence; hedging interest rate risk; developing and negotiating term sheets and Requests for Proposal; reviewing and negotiating legal documentation; financial transaction origination and syndication; contract re-structuring; airline bankruptcies; sale of bankruptcy claims; foreclosures; jurisdictional legal reviews; tax issues; insurance; collections.  Extensive experience working with external customers, aircraft technical and sales colleagues, commercial and investment banks, institutional investors, boards of directors, financial advisory firms, U.S. and foreign legal counsel, and rating agencies.
