Description:

Join Yvonne Larrier, Assistant Professor, IUSB Counseling & Human Services this Friday, January 25th from 11:00 AM-Noon as she discusses her experience with ePortfolios.  A newcomer to the portfolio tools in Oncourse, Dr. Larrier embarked upon a bold undertaking during the Fall of 2012 as she rolled out a very ambitious ePortfolio project for the Professional School Counselor’s program. Students use the portfolio tools in Oncourse to collect artifacts/examples of their course work and other experiences. While reflecting on the learning resulting from these experiences, they begin the development of a showcase portfolio that will be complete at the end of this 2-year cohort program. The development and implementation of the ePortfolio matrices and presentation template, rubrics used to assess artifacts, and lessons learned will be shared.

No registration necessary.  The webinar can be viewed online, using your own computer, in the Adobe Connect meeting room: http://connect.iu.edu/ep-iu. Participants will be able to log in as guests. If you have any questions about the webinar or would like additional instructions for preparing for and participating in the workshop, please feel free to contact Debbie Runshe drunshe@iupui.edu.

Mark your calendars now for the second webinar in the spring series on February 22nd as Marta Antón, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of World Languages & Cultures, IUPUI, presents Second Language Program Assessment and Students’ Reflections on Learning Outcomes sharing the ePortfolio experience of students in the Spanish capstone.
