Description: Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon will give a free public reading sponsored by the College Arts and Humanities Institute. Chabon is the author of numerous best-selling works of fiction and nonfiction. His first novel, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (1988), was originally written for his master's thesis at University of California-Irvine; the novel became a New York Times bestseller and was made into a 2008 film. His novel Wonder Boys (1995), also a bestseller, was made into a critically acclaimed film starring Michael Douglas and Tobey Maguire. Chabon's novel on the lives of two World War II-era Jewish comic book artists, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2001.
