Description:

Program participants, whether judges or lawyers, will gain a greater understanding of the Title IV-D Safe Parenting Program and the handling of domestic violence issues in paternity cases involving child support and parenting time issues. Attendees will learn about the family violence concerns that arise within the program. Participants will also learn how to identify signs which indicate family violence is present, how to best serve parties based on the possibility that the parties have experienced or are experiencing family violence, and the options available to the parties and their lawyers.
